These prestigious awards recognize notable hunting achievements along with exceptional conservation efforts. There are a wide variety of SCI awards that you may earn on your hunt with SAAS. Before your hunt, you can prepare by researching the requirements for each award you are working towards. Then, you can use this criteria as a set goal for your hunt. Keep in mind that many of these awards will take several hunts before achieving. Once you have met all the criteria, you will obtain your award by submitting official measurements or photos of your trophy to the SCI record book department. SCI Continental Awards

The SCI continental awards program was formed with hunters who enjoy destination hunting in different continents in mind. The award you can earn in South America that is a part of the SCI continental award program is called South America 8. This award requires 8 species (or 6 with a bow) from a designated list, with 2 being indigenous to their native habitat. With South American Adventure Safaris, you can earn this by hunting South American Coastal white-tailed deer, South American whitetailed deer, gray-brown brocket deer, collared peccary, white-lipped peccary, capybara, cougar (or puma, or mountain lion), water buffalo, blackbuck, alpine ibex, hybrid ibex, feral goat, European mouflon, hybrid sheep, multi-horned sheep, red deer, axis deer, European fallow deer, and Père David deer. This long list of options makes this vigorous award very possible with SAAS.

SCI Milestone Awards

In order to receive a milestone award, you must obtain all the required animals for that award. There are no levels for SCI milestone awards. The SCI milestone awards that can be worked towards with SAAS are White-tailed Deer of the World, Indigenous Animals of South America, and Cats of the World. To earn the White-tail Deer of the World award, you must have a minimum of 5 white-tailed deer species (or 4 with a bow) from the official list. With SAAS, you can get closer to this goal by hunting South American white-tailed deer and South American Coastal white-tailed deer. To earn the Indigenous Animals of South America award, you must acquire at least 4 of the specified indigenous species (or 3 with a bow). During your hunt with SAAS, you will have the opportunity to complete this award by hunting South American whitetailed deer, South American Coastal whitetailed deer, White-lipped peccary, Cougar (or puma, or mountain lion), Gray-Brown brocket deer, Collared peccary, and Capybara. To earn the Cats of the World award, a minimum of 4 of the specified species of cats  (or 3 with a bow) is required. With South American Adventure Safaris you can hunt for cougars, pumas, or mountain lions.

SCI Inner Circles

The SCI Inner Circles award program is for big game hunters who are interested in earning a leveled award. There are five levels for each award within this program: copper, bronze, silver, gold, and diamond. The awards in the SCI Inner Circles program that are achievable through SAAS include Antlered Game of the Americas and Antlered Game of the World. To earn the Antlered Game of the Americas award, you must have 7 to 23 (4 to 12 for bow hunting) of the antlered categories specified on the specified list. A minimum of 7 will earn you a copper status, 12 for bronze, 16 for silver, 21 for gold, and 23 for diamond. From the list of categories, you can hunt gray-brown brocket, South American Coastal white-tailed deer, and South American white-tailed deer with SAAS. Another award within this program that is called Antlered Game of the World, requires 12 to 36 animals (4 to 20 with a bow). You need 12 for the copper level, 18 for bronze, 24 for silver, 30 for gold, and 36 for diamond. The species for this award that can be hunted with SAAS include red deer, axis deer, European fallow deer, Père David deer, South American Coastal white-tailed deer, South American white-tailed deer, and gray-brown brocket.

Top Ten Award

The Top Ten Award also has 5 levels that range from copper to diamond. To earn the copper level you must have a minimum of 1 of the top 10 animals. The bronze level ranges from 2 to 4 animals , silver ranges from 5 to 9, gold is 10 to 14, and diamond is 15 and up. Some of the top 10 animals inhabit South America, so your trip with South American Adventure Safari is a good place to start working towards this award.

Hunting Achievement Award

To earn a Hunting Achievement Award, you must have at least 10 record book entries with each being a different species. 10 entries or 5 with a bow will earn you the copper level, 30 or 15 with a bow is bronze, 70 or 35 with a bow is silver, 100 or 50 with a bow is gold, and 125 or 60 with a bow is diamond.

Global Hunting Award

There are many global hunting awards you can work towards while in South America. The copper level requires 2 continents, bronze requires 3, silver requires 4, gold requires 5, and diamond requires 6. To achieve the continent of South America you must have a minimum of 4 different native or introduced animals or 3 with a bow. You can work towards the Wild Oxen of the World award in South America by hunting water buffalo, the Red Deer/Wapiti of the World award by hunting red deer in South America, the Wild Pigs and Peccaries of the World award by hunting feral boar, collared peccary, and white-lipped peccary, the Gazelles of the World award by hunting blackbuck, the Predators of the World by hunting cougar, gray, red or bat-eared fox, and the Wild Goats of the World Award by hunting Alpine ibex and Feral goat. You can also get the Animal of South America award by hunting cougar, South American white-tailed deer, South American Coastal white-tailed deer, gray-brown brocket deer, collared peccary, white-lipped peccary, capybara, water buffalo, blackbuck, alpine ibex, hybrid ibex, feral goat, European mouflon, hybrid sheep, multi-horned sheep, red deer, axis deer, European fallow deer, Père David deer, and feral boar.
