THE HUNT

The morning hunt begins before day break and we return to the lodge at around 11:00 for lunch and later siesta. The afternoon hunt begins around 3:30-4:00 and we hunt until last shooting light. Most of the hunt will be spot and stalk. 4WD vehicles are used to move from one hunting area to the next. For hunters with limited mobility we have a dozen grounds and elevated blinds over food plots and water holes. Shooting distances will be less than 200 meters with some shots as close as 30 meters. Bow hunters should be proficient at 30-40 meter since shots less than 30 meters are extremely difficult to achieve under spot and stalk.

THE TROPHY

You can expect a mature and well-developed trophy with a minimum of 14 points (7x7). Average score of our free range stags is 300-320 “with the top scoring stags reaching 340-350”. On this hunt there is no extra charge based on score; we will look for the best possible trophy for you to harvest. See pictures below for reference. Management stags: these are typically 4x4, 5x5 and 6x6 trophies with an average score of 250”.

THE LODGE

El Carrizal has a newly built 8,000 square feet lodge offering world-class accommodations and exceptional meals. The beautiful lodge is perched on a hilltop providing a commanding view of the lagoons and forests below. During the roar rutted out red stag are heard roaring and clashing their antlers in the surrounding woods. El Carrizal has ten bedrooms each with a private bath and two spacious suites equipped with jacuzzi tubs.  Everyone enjoys the large dining room where fantastic meals are enjoyed.  The lodge has a fully stocked bar, internet access and Direct TV to bring in the world news.  We also have two comfortable lounge areas with a fireplace for recounting stories from the day’s adventures.

THE FOOD

Our chef will delight you with international and local cuisine as well as game meat dishes during your stay and we expect you will never go hungry.  Our chefs understand how to prepare gourmet meals and pair those meals with the best Argentinean wines.
